Format
Since there is no stage or AV support of any kind for this showcase and it is being conducted entirely outside, we will have to organize ourselves in small groups which can see a mobile screen near them and hear an unassisted speaker.
Mark Kramer, new media marketer extraordinaire, suggests that we use a speed dating format!
We will ask the audience members to divide up evenly amongst the demonstrating companies. There are (as of Feb 13) 26 demonstrations offered! We can probably have as many as 75 people doing this comfortably, 100 means 4 people per demo…
Each company will demonstrate to a small group of people for 1 or 2 minutes and then anyone can ask questions (total “date” time of 5 minutes).
Then, at the sound of our special whistle, everyone will move about (rotate, find another person who is “performing”) and repeat the demonstration/speed date sessions.
