Where/how to obtain: this is under development.
What is it: This is a medical application we’re developing which would help patients to better evaluate health products.
It would also identify possible side effects or adverse reactions based on an individual’s personal health information eg. alerts for products that contain nuts if the patients Health Record indicates nut allergies.

How does it help: The application we are developing will help patients:
1) Avoid the need to read irrelevant details within the small print instructions that pharmaceutical products are packaged with – replacing this with relevant personal and timely info that can be represented in multimedia format
2) Avoid issues of counterfeit and out of date medications
3) Avoid administering medications that would be harmful or could produce side effects by making checks of the active ingredients against their personal health data and current treatment regime.
4) Comply with their medication regimes (eg. by automatically setting treatment plans/reminders based on dosage data)
5) Report problems/side effects they experience through use of medications
6) Help pharmaceutical brands add value to their products eg. motivational content, recommendations of substitute or complementary products, etc
